Description
My name is Hajira Javed, and I am a Counselling Psychologist with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. During my second year of study, I completed an internship of over 240 hours at Bluenile Counselling Center in Bangalore. Since January, I have also been volunteering at a crisis helpline through the Vandrevala Foundation, where I facilitate group therapy sessions.
I hold certifications in suicide gatekeeping, parenting, couples therapy, and narrative therapy. As a queer affirmative counsellor, I am committed to working with compassion and fostering hope in everyone I encounter.
I am fluent in Hindi and English, both spoken and written. In my role as a Counselling Psychologist, I have worked with clients facing a variety of mental health concerns, including depression, emotional instability, anxiety related to death, academics, and relationships, as well as addiction, grief, lack of motivation and purpose, and issues arising from dysfunctional families.
My therapeutic approach involves creating a safe space for clients, helping them recognize their own strengths, and empowering them to rely on their capabilities. I believe that interactions rooted in compassion, positive regard, and empathy can truly help individuals of all ages open up and express their true needs. This allows me to connect with them on a deeper level of respect and understanding.
I firmly believe that “better knowledge leads to better health!” In line with this belief, I am committed to ongoing education and consistently seek to update my knowledge and skills in order to serve my clients more effectively.
