Description

I am a Bangalore-based Counselling Psychologist holding a master’s Degree in counseling psychology.

I also hold certifications in suicide gatekeeping, parenting, couples therapy, and Narrative therapy.

I am also a queer affirmative counselor, as I genuinely believe in working with compassion and fostering hope in all people. I also completed a course on working with children and DBT.

As a Counselling Psychologist, I have had experience with clients having varying mental health concerns like depression, suicide ideation, self-harm, emotional instability, anxiety, addiction, grief, general distress, lack of motivation and purpose, dysfunctional family issues, and the like.

My approach involves holding the space for the clients, helping them recognize their own capabilities, and having them rely on their own faculties.

I believe that interactions that have compassion, positive regard, and empathy can genuinely help a person (of any age) open up and express their actual needs, and this helps me connect with them at a deep level of respect and understanding.

The modalities I mostly use in my counseling processes are CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, grounding, and talk therapy. I choose to meet the client where they are and talk to them at their level of comfort. For survivors of abuse and victims, I choose a more trauma-informed approach.
