Description

Hi, my name is Richa Gupta, and I am a Mental Health Practitioner with over six years of experience in the fields of psychology, counseling, and wellness. My journey into this profession has been deeply personal, shaped not only by my formal training in Clinical Psychology but also by my own lived experiences of facing and overcoming mental health challenges. This dual perspective gives me a unique ability to connect with people on both a professional and human level, understanding the complexities of their struggles with empathy and authenticity. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with 500+ individuals from diverse backgrounds, helping them navigate challenges and rediscover their inner strengths.

My areas of expertise include providing support for mild to moderately severe mental health issues, such as anxiety, stress, burnout, interpersonal relationship concerns, and adolescent difficulties. I also specialize in guiding individuals through work-life balance challenges, helping them manage the pressures of modern living while staying aligned with their personal values and goals. In addition to counseling, I am trained as a Wellness Coach, which enables me to take a more holistic approach—bridging the gap between emotional well-being and healthy lifestyle practices. I believe in creating a warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental therapeutic environment where clients feel safe to explore their emotions, gain clarity, and build healthier patterns for lasting growth.

I practice through an eclectic therapeutic approach, tailoring each session to the unique needs of my clients. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Practices, I help individuals reframe limiting thought patterns, cultivate self-awareness, and develop coping strategies that truly fit their lives. For me, therapy is not just about reducing distress—it is about nurturing resilience, building self-compassion, and empowering individuals to lead more balanced, meaningful, and fulfilling lives. My mission is to remind people that they are not alone, that healing is possible, and that with the right guidance, they can step into a life of confidence, clarity, and well-being.

I am a passionate social worker from Kerala, dedicated to helping individuals improve their mental health and overall well-being. My main aim is to offer caring support to those facing personal challenges. I believe in empowering my clients to overcome difficulties and build their strength.

Currently, I work as a research assistant at a well-respected NGO in Trivandrum. In this role, I help with important research projects that aim to improve mental health support in our communities. I collaborate with a team of professionals to analyze information and create programs that can make a positive difference in the lives of individuals and families, especially those who may not have easy access to mental health resources.

Aside from my research work, I also provide counseling services. I strive to create a safe and welcoming space for people seeking help. Building trust with my clients is essential for effective counseling, and I work hard to establish that connection.

Throughout my journey, I have seen how powerful mental health support can be. I take a holistic approach, which means I look at not only a person’s mental state but also the social factors that affect their well-being. By considering different influences, I hope to inspire hope and encourage individuals on their paths to recovery and personal growth.

I’m a dedicated psychologist passionate about helping individuals of all ages enhance their emotional well-being and happiness. I earned my master’s degree in Psychology in 2023 from Amity University in Mumbai, where I gained valuable insights into how our minds work and the various ways people behave.

Additionally, I worked as an Assistant Professor at SNDT University in Pune, where I enjoyed teaching and inspiring undergraduate students to explore the field of psychology. I also completed an internship in the Psychiatry department at Poona Hospital and Research Centre, where I gained valuable hands-on experience under the guidance of Dr. Vidhyadhar Watve. This experience has equipped me with the skills necessary to effectively support those I work with.

I firmly believe that mental health care should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their background, age, or gender. I advocate for the idea that everyone deserves support for their mental health. My approach emphasizes understanding each person’s unique experiences, as I believe therapy should be tailored to individual needs rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all solution.
